Wing Shares Increase Cutting Efficiency
For many cultivators, you can choose wing shares to increase the working width. This is usually done during shallow operations to cut weed roots. Occasionally, they are used deeper, but there is a risk of creating a plow pan in wet soil, and fuel consumption becomes high.
The wing shares are available with either an 8 or 23-degree angle. 8 degrees is best for weeds, while 23 degrees work the soil more intensively.
The wing shares are mounted behind the regular tip, and it is important that this is 80 mm wide at the wing share to protect bolts and nuts. The difference from goosefoot tips is that the wing shares, in combination with a tip, also have a soil-seeking effect, which can be important in tough conditions. A major advantage is that they are modular, meaning they can be combined with many different tools.
The amount of soil you want to mix can be varied by choosing the host tip. 80 mm and 50/80 mm have a strong mixing ability, while BreakMix creates a draining track. The latter combination is interesting for weed control but also in very dry conditions. There is also the possibility to combine the wing shares with DeepLoosening tips to maximize the draining ability.

Combined with the BreakMix point, in addition to the cutting, you get a cut channel that provides a weatherresistant surface that withstands rain.

The wing shares cut on the sides and mix in the middle. The amount of soil mixed can be influcened by the choice of host tip as well as the guide MixIn shin.

When the wing shares are combined with a DeepLoosening point, the draining capability is futher increased.
When to use different kind of wing share?
Choosing the correct wing share is crucial for improving work results, both in the soil and on the surface. The wing shares play a key role in achieving a thoroughly broken working horizon, especially when working at shallow to medium depths.
